Asian overseas players of ISL 2020-21 Season.

#1 ATK Mohun Bagan FC - Brad Inman and David Williams


ATK Mohun Bagan FC will be the only team in ISL to have two Asian players in their squad this season. The defending champions had Australian forward David Williams last season who scored seven goals in 18 matches and had a stellar campaign.  This year, the team management has recruited former Brisbane Roar midfielder Brad Inman to join him. The midfielder from Down Under had scored four goals and provided six assists in 25 games last season.


#2 SC East Bengal - Scott Neville



The newest entrants in the ISL this season have already signed six foreign players and have also appointed legendary Liverpool forward Robbie Fowler as the coach. And the Red and Golds have recruited Australian defender Scott Neville as their Asian overseas player.  Neville appeared in 25 games in the A-League last season where his team only conceded 24 goals. The Aussie defender also scored twice.


#3 FC Goa - James Donachie




FC Goa, who had won the ISL League Winners Shield last season, have have tweaked their squad after the arrival of new Spanish boss Juan Ferrando. While a host of Spanish footballers have joined, the only Asian overseas player in their team is Australian defender James Donachie, who last played in the A-League for Melbourne Victory. The 27-year-old defender played 25 league matches and four AFC Champions League games. In the 29 matches he played last season, Melbourne Victory conceded 39 goals.


#4 Chennaiyin FC - Fatkhullo Fatkhuloev



Chennaiyin FC have recruited Tajikistan’s highly experienced midfielder Fatkhullo Fatkhuloev as their Asian player this season. Fatkhuloev has appeared in 68 international matches for his nation and is their highest-capped player. The 30-year-old had led Tajik League side FC Istiklol to the final of AFC Cup 2017. In that campaign, they had defeated Indian club Bengaluru FC in the Inter-zone play-offs final. He last played for Uzbek Super League side Buxoro FK where he played 11 matches, scoring one goal.


#5 Bengaluru FC - Erik Paartalu



Erik Paartalu is the most experienced Asian player in ISL this season. Paartalu has been with the Blues since the 2017-18 season and is one of the most important players in their squad. The 34-year-old Australian has appeared in 49 ISL matches, scoring seven times and provided seven assists. Five out of those seven assists came last season.


#6 Hyderabad FC - Joel Chianese



Australian forward Joel Chianese has joined Hyderabad FC this season from A-League side Perth Glory. The 30-year-old forward played 24 matches in the A-League last season and scored five goals.


#7 Jamshedpur FC - Nicholas Fitzgerald


Australian attacker Nick Fitzgerald will be Jamshedpur's Asian overseas player this season. The 28-year-old forward played for Newcastle Jets last season in the A-League where he scored three times in 20 appearances. Fitzgerald has won the A-League twice in his career - once with Brisbane Roar in 2011-12 season and in the next year with Central Coast Mariner

#8 Kerala Blasters - Jordan Murray The 25-year-old Australian striker is the latest addition to the Kerala Blasters squad and is their only Asian overseas player. Murray played for A-League side Central Coast Mariners last season where he scored four goals in 18 appearances in the league as his club finished at the bottom of the table.  #9 NorthEast United - Dylan Fox NorthEast United FC have signed Australian defender Dylan Fox as their Asian overseas player this season. The 26-year-old centre-back has played for some of the top clubs in the A-League including Wellington Phoenix alongside ATK Mohun Bagan’s star striker Roy Krishna. Fox played for Central Coast Mariners last season where he appeared in 11 matches and had even scored a goal.

#8 Kerala Blasters - Jordan Murray



The 25-year-old Australian striker is the latest addition to the Kerala Blasters squad and is their only Asian overseas player. Murray played for A-League side Central Coast Mariners last season where he scored four goals in 18 appearances in the league as his club finished at the bottom of the table. 


#9 NorthEast United - Dylan Fox



NorthEast United FC have signed Australian defender Dylan Fox as their Asian overseas player this season. The 26-year-old centre-back has played for some of the top clubs in the A-League including Wellington Phoenix alongside ATK Mohun Bagan’s star striker Roy Krishna. Fox played for Central Coast Mariners last season where he appeared in 11 matches and had even scored a goal.


#10 Odisha FC - Jacob Tratt


Australian defender Jacob Tratt is Odisha FC’s Asian overseas singing this season. The 26-year-old central defender plied his trade with A-League side Perth Glory last season where he played 15 league matches. He was part of the A-League winning Sydney FC side in the 20181-9 season. Tratt will pair up with former Newcastle United defender Steven Taylor in Odisha’s backline.


#11 Mumbai City - Cy Goddard


Japanese midfielder Cy Goddard has joined Mumbai City FC on loan from Serie A side Benevento this season. The 23-year-old is a youth product of Tottenham Hotspur and had played for Cypriot First Division side Pafos FC last season.
